Allander Sports Centre

The Allander is a little out of the way unless you're based here in the western suburbs, but it offers excellent facilities. There's a 25m swimming pool and smaller teaching pool, five-a-side football courts and facilities for tennis, badminton, squash and table tennis. For the more sedate-minded, there are also snooker tables. If that's not enough, there's a roller rink, an aerobics and techno gym, a spa and classes in salsa and line dancing.

No membership is required; all facilities are open to the public at reasonable rates.
